Lamar Jackson notched a 100th start versus the Vikings, and the best part is he left Minnesota with another win.

This is shaping up to be one heck of a story that we’ll one day tell our grandchildren, the 30th anniversary of the Baltimore Ravens season. They began the 2025-26 season by placing five losses on the ledger during the first five games.

They lost to some of the NFL’s best teams. They lost their quarterback, Lamar Jackson, during a Week 4 loss to the defending AFC Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, but things turned around with a win in front of the hometown fans vs. the Chicago Bears. They won that one behind a nice performance by Tyler Huntley a.k.a. ‘Snoop’.

Jackson returned one week later vs. the Miami Dolphins, and he shone in victory. Fast forward to the present, and he has led the Ravens to a three-game winning streak. The most recent doubles as the 100th start of his career

Head coach John Harbaugh spoke for all of us after Week 10’s game. It doesn’t seem like he has been around as long as he claims to have been.

“No, I can’t even believe it. I can’t even believe it. ‘Life is short. Run to the ball.’ Lamar [Jackson] does; Lamar epitomizes that. I just couldn’t say enough about Lamar Jackson. If you want to talk about his career and his legacy, I think he’s 15-1 against NFC teams. Is that what it is, in their stadium?”

What’s that saying? Time flies when you’re having fun. We’ve harped on his postseason mark at times, and that probably won’t change until he wins a Super Bowl.

There’s a difference between ‘haven’t’ and ‘can’t’, though. We know Lamar Jackson has the ability. As long as he’s in the lineup, the Ravens have a chance. Remember… Peyton Manning and John Elway couldn’t win the big game until he did.

Few quarterbacks, past or present, have this level of ability. Call us crazy. Say we’re out of our minds. We can handle that. It feels like a matter of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’ when it comes to Lamar Jackson’s chances of raising the Lombardi Trophy.

He says this about whether or not he and his teammates have turned the corner:

“Yes, but there’s still a lot of ball left. We have to stay locked in. We can’t be complacent or [anything] like that. We have to stay locked in.”

From Jackson’s mouth to our ears… All of Baltimore’s goals are still ahead of them. With 100 starts in QB1’s rearview mirror, his goals are attainable as well.
