Despite being a sixth-round pick, Parker Washington has made a name for himself in Duval County.

Washington had one of his best performances of his young NFL career just a week after the wide receiver room got even more crowded for the Jaguars. Jacksonville acquired Jakobi Meyers at the trade deadline, and with two first-round pick receivers already needing playing time, it seemed like Washington was going to be the player getting restricted time.

However, in the Jaguars’ game against Houston, Washington made sure he stays on the field.

Washington caught just three passes for 33 yards, the second-leading receiver on the team, but made multiple splash plays.

It began with an incredible toe-tap touchdown in the back of the end zone. It was Washington’s second touchdown of the season and seventh of his career.

However, his day wasn’t done yet. At the beginning of the second quarter, Washington was stood back to receive the punt. He backpedaled for about 15 yards before receiving the punt and taking it to the house for 72 yards.

Despite the two-touchdown performance, his efforts weren’t enough to hold off a Houston comeback. Washington remains in a loaded receiver room with Meyers, Brian Thomas Jr. and two-way player Travis Hunter, who plays minimal offensive snaps.
