The Dallas Cowboys are still mourning the death of second-year defensive end Marshawn Kneeland. The untimely passing of the 24-year-old was announced on Thursday after his lifeless body was reportedly found inside a portable toilet following a police pursuit over a traffic violation. According to reports, Kneeland died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The NFL advised teams across the league to honor Kneeland’s death by holding a moment of silence during this past Sunday’s round of games. This was done pregame, followed by the teams reading a message about the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

The Cowboys were not in action on Sunday because of their bye, but the team has now also made a decision to honor their fallen player.

As the post indicates, the Cowboys will honor Kneeland in their next game, which comes in the form of a Week 11 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday, Nov. 17. That will be a road matchup for Dallas, with the Raiders hosting the contest at Allegiant Stadium.
The Cowboys enter that game with a 3-5-1 record, following back-to-back losses.
