The Tennessee Titans had an extra week to heal, and that could mean the imminent returns of receiver Calvin Ridley and defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons ahead of the upcoming game against Houston.
The Titans (1-8) play the Texans (4-5) at Nissan Stadium on Nov. 16 (noon CT, FOX). Ridley and Simmons are dealing with hamstring injuries that have lingered for almost a month, leaving the Titans without their two highest-paid contributors.
After a 26-0 loss to Houston in Week 4, the Titans need all the help they can get for the rematch. Interim Titans coach Mike McCoy will address reporters about injury concerns on Nov. 12 and 14, and the Titans will issue injury reports each day following practice except for Saturday.

Titans vs Texans injury tracker: Who’s hurt, who’s out this week?Jeffery Simmons, DT, hamstring
Simmons has missed the Titans’ past two games with a hamstring injury initially suffered in Week 7 against the New England Patriots. He hasn’t been seen during a media viewing session at practice since, but his social media posts this week seem to indicate that he’s optimistic about the potential for a return. Posting on X on Nov. 10, Simmons wrote: “I’m ready to get back to it!”
Calvin Ridley, WR, hamstring
Ridley has been on the shelf since injuring his hamstring in Week 6 against Las Vegas and has not been spotted at practice or spoken to reporters since. The Titans have relied on rookies Chimere Dike and Elic Ayomanor in his absence and McCoy hasn’t offered a direct update on Ridley’s status.
Arden Key, OLB, quadricep
Key has missed a month with a quad injury. He briefly returned to practice in the leadup to the game in Indianapolis but did not play that week and missed another after that. The Titans’ depth at outside linebacker is particularly dire after losing Oluwafemi Oladejo to a leg injury and trading Dre’Mont Jones to the Baltimore Ravens.
Bryce Oliver, WR, knee
Oliver has been on the sideliness since Week 2 with a knee injury. He returned to practice in recent weeks as a limited participant several times, but he has yet to be active on game day.
Which Titans are on injured reserve?
The Titans have Oladejo, cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, running back Kalel Mullings, outside linebacker Ali Gaye, offensive lineman Blake Hance and safety Mike Brown on injured reserve. Brown and Mullings both have had their return-to-practice windows opened and will have three weeks to return to the active roster.
