The Atlanta Falcons might be looking for a bit of a competitive edge before facing off against the Carolina Panthers in Week 11.

As announced on Wednesday, the Falcons have signed safety Jammie Robinson to their practice squad ahead of this weekend’s NFC South matchup. Robinson, a former draft pick of the Panthers, spent most of his first two professional campaigns in Carolina.

Robinson, after splitting his collegiate career between the University of South Carolina (2019 to 2020) and Florida State University (2021 to 2022), was selected by the Panthers in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL draft. He’d play in 21 games, with a pair of starts, for Carolina and defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero.

The Panthers waived Robinson in December of last season.

He’s since gone on to pick up stops with the Arizona Cardinals, the Kansas City Chiefs and, most recently, the Detroit Lions.
