The Cardinals’ injury report was ridiculously long even for a walkthrough.
The Arizona Cardinals opened their practice week Wednesday with only a walkthrough because of the long list of player injuries. Their first injury report of the week in advance of Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers is an estimate of what the status would have been if there were a regular practice.
Of the 16 players listed, 14 have injuries, one has an illness (wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.) and one has a personal issue (defensive lineman Bilal Nichols). Even tackle Kelvin Beachum, who always has a rest day on Wednesday, now also has a groin injury.
Head coach Jonathan Gannon has already declared Harrison and linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. out for the game against the 49ers.
One positive is that cornerback Max Melton, who did not practice all last week and missed the game against Seattle because of a concussion, was listed as limited.
The list does not include wide receivers Zay Jones (Achilles) and Simi Fehoko (arm), who were injured against Seattle and placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
The full details are below. Starters are noted with an asterisk.

Hernandez played his first game of the season in Week 5 and then had his first full practice on Friday of Week 6. In Week 7 and 9 (Week 8 was the bye) he did not appear on the injury report. However, he surfaced again last week, was limited all week and listed as questionable, but started and played all but three late snaps. He begins this week as limited again.
Ojulari is in his third week of practice as the result of a serious knee injury suffered on Aug. 2024 in training camp. His 21-day practice window expires next week.
