The NFL is a must-see television show, including the yearly schedule release and three-day buildup to the unveiling. NBC’s TODAY revealed that on Thursday, September 4, Philadelphia will host a banner and kick off the 2025 NFL season at Lincoln Financial Field against the Dallas Cowboys.

We had Dallas ranked as the top team for a record-setting game, and the NFL agreed.

Hours after the schedule release, ESPN’s Adam Schefter revealed that the Cowboys will play in three of the most in-demand games of the year, including the top contest in Week 1.

In the initial rankings, the Cowboys were near the bottom because Dallas had a new head coach and staff: Dak Prescott, DeMarcus Lawrence, and CeeDee Lamb were returning from injury. Fast-forward two months, and Lawrence is gone. Dallas has since added Tyler Booker and Donovan Ezeiruaku in the NFL draft and traded for former Steelers wide receiver George Pickens. This matchup is always a must-see, and a titanic clash featuring bitter NFC East rivals that moves the needle in the season opener at Lincoln Financial Field, with a Super Bowl banner getting raised, has to take the lead.
