New York Jets returner Kene Nwangwu has been honored by the NFL.
Nwangwu has been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against the Cleveland Browns in Week 10:
The Jets (2-7) beat the Browns (2-7) by a 27-20 score last weekend. Nwangwu scored one of New York’s two touchdowns via return on special teams.
His was a kickoff return for 99 yards. It came right after the Browns took the early 7-0 lead in the first half.
It was Nwangwu’s fifth kick return TD of his career.
Nwangwu’s last AFC STPOTW Award came in 2024 in New York. He had another 99-yard return last season in Week 13.
