Who are the Indianapolis Colts’ 2026 free agents?

With the Colts on their bye week, let’s take a look ahead to the 2026 offseason, specifically, who Indianapolis’ pending free agents are.

On both sides of the ball, there are several key contributors to the 2025 Colts who are currently in the final year of their respective contracts.

Some good news is that, salary cap-wise, the Colts are positioned well entering the 2026 offseason. According to Over the Cap, the Colts have $47.69 million in available cap space at the moment, which is the 11th most in the NFL — although there are still limitations and not everyone can be brought back.

ESPN recently put together its list of the top 25 free agents this upcoming offseason, and three Colts players were included.

With help from Over the Cap, here is a look at those players, along with all of the other upcoming unrestricted free agents.

QB Daniel Jones

There is zero mystery here when it comes to Jones’ future — he will be a Colt long-term. The question is what his next contract will look like. ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler recently provided some insight into that unknown.

WR Alec Pierce

Stephen Holder reported recently that, during this previous offseason, re-signing Pierce didn’t seem to be in the cards. However, since then, things have changed with the idea of Pierce returning to Indianapolis now being “very real.” While he still provides that vertical presence, Pierce’s role within the offense has expanded as well.

OT Braden Smith

Smith has put together a bounce-back season, and without any obvious replacement for him already on the roster, finding a way to bring him back would make a lot of sense for Indianapolis.

DE Kwity Paye

Paye has provided the Colts with a dependable presence as they lean on him heavily each week. However, he could end up earning a bigger payday elsewhere with Laiatu Latu leading the way at this position group. With that said, a priority will then be building the depth behind Latu with Samson Ebukam and Tyquan Lewis, also free agents.

S Nick Cross

Cross is a player that the Colts should try to bring back. His ability to fill a variety of roles makes him extremely valuable on the back end of Lou Anarumo’s defense. However, having just paid Cam Bynum, we will have to see what Cross’ market looks like and how the Colts divide up their salary cap space.
