Thie Buffalo Bills have added an interesting pass-rushing option to their practice squad follow recent injuries at the position.
The team has announced that veteran defensive end Morgan Fox has signed to Buffalo’s practice squad following a workout with the Bills (6-3) earlier this week:
Fox, 31, is a nine-year NFL veteran. He signed with the Atlanta Falcons in the spring but was then cut in August.
Fox originally signed as an undrafted rookie with the Los Angeles Rams in 2016 and spent four years there. Then Fox spent another three with Chargers before signing in Atlanta.
In 2018, Fox tore his ACL but he has been productive in his career. In 120 career games (34 starts), Fox has 183 tackles, including 33 for loss, with 27.5 sacks, three passes defended and four forced fumbles.
With recent injuries to Michael Hoecht (Achilles) and rookie Landon Jackson (knee), Fox could be a strong veteran depth addition. Buffalo’s defense runs a large rotation on their defensive line as well, so evecn in a depth role, Fox could find time on the field if he is called up from the PS.
