NFL Week 11 picks include Bills, Texans and Cowboys

Lorenzo Reyes shares his predictions and best bets ahead of Week 11.

The Dallas Cowboys are on he normal health treadmill, as they’ve now lost safety Juanyeh Thomas for a while and are now set to work DeMarvion Overshown and Shavon Revel Jr. into the lineup for the Monday Night game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Dallas revealed that Marshawn Kneeland’s girlfriend, Catalina Mancera, is pregnant, and the team has set up a fund for her and her unborn child. Meanwhile, CeeDee Lamb was in the news for something that happened in a grocery store, and it’s actually the good kind of news.

Catalina Mancera, Marshawn Kneeland girlfriend

Dallas Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer spoke to the media for the first time since the death of Marshawn Kneeland, and he revealed his girlfriend Catalina Mancera is pregnant with their child.

The Dallas Cowboys have set up a memorial fund for Mancera and the unborn child.

“My heart is heavy. Our team’s heart is heavy. We don’t move on, but we do move forward.” Schottenheimer said.

When asked how the team deals with Kneeland’s death, Schottenheimer said, “One day at a time. Because I think it’s going to hit everybody different. I literally wasn’t sure if I could get through my part of last night speaking at his candlelight vigil, and I did.

“You just take it one day at a time, and you don’t have to have all the answers. We don’t have all the answers. We probably won’t have all the answers. You lean into one another; you love on one another.”

Meanwhile, Mancera posted a picture of her and Kneeland on Facebook and wrote, “my sweet baby, words could never express how broken I feel, you’re my everything. I’ll love you forever my beautiful angel,” adding a white heart emoji.

Dallas Cowboys injury report

Dallas is not going to get safety Juanyeh Thomas back anytime soon. Thomas has been placed on Non-Football Illness reserve with recurring migraine headaches and will now miss at least four games.

On the bright side, linebacker DeMarvion Overshown and cornerback Shavon Revel were officially moved to the 53-man roster Wednesday and are expected to make their season debuts (an NFL debut for the rookie Revel) Monday night against the Las Vegas Raiders.

For the University of Texas alum Overshown, it will be his first action since a catastrophic knee injury last year in Week 14.

“A lot of people claim that this knee injury is one of the worst or the worst, and not too many people come back the same afterwards,” Overshown told DallasCowboys.com this week. “I’m ready to put that to the test. … the sky’s the limit for me. And I’m not saying that to be cocky or anything, but I know what I bring to the field. … I know what y’all saw last year and you’re gonna get more of that.”

Dallas also activated cornerback Malik Hooker on Thursday and the Cowboys are optimistic he can play against the Raiders. He had been on injured reserve since a toe injury in Week 5.

CeeDee Lamb

Dallas’ star receiver CeeDee Lamb made off-field news for good reasons Tuesday when he surprised two families with a cartful of groceries at a Tom Thumb grocery store in Frisco. The donation was through his support of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas.

Lamb, who grew up spending time with the club, had the charity reach out to two families involved with the club for a surprise at Tom Thumb.

Emmitt Smith on Cowboys D

The Dallas Cowboys legend and NFL all-time leading rusher Emmitt Smith sees what most fans see when he watches the Cowboys defense, and that isn’t pretty. He had an interview with the USA Today’s Dallas Cowboys Wire and had some harsh opinions.

“Man, do we look like we are completely lost,” Smith told Cowboys Wire. “I am befuddled at all of the things that are going wrong on the defensive side of the ball. We look very basic and very fundamental. And very amateurish, if you will. Nothing sexy about it. And still the mistakes are being made, which is to me is a sign of poor coaching, defensively.”

Dallas’ defensive coordinator is (still) Matt Eberflus.
