The Buffalo Bills’ resident “Shnowman” has received the city’s highest honor.

Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins was presented with the key to the city by Acting Mayor Chris Scanlon Friday.

Dawkins received the honor due to his extensive charity work through his foundation, “Dion’s Dreamers.”

Whether it’s through gift donations, charity talent shows or his signature “Shnowday” field trips, hundreds of kids and families across Western New York have been impacted by Dawkins’ philanthropy efforts.

“This is a man who leads with love, a man who leads with compassion, and that’s the kind of leader every city is lucky to have,” Scanlon said.

“This key represents something so much bigger than football to myself,” said Dawkins. “It represents every kid in the city who dares to dream big, who works hard and who believes they can make a difference.”
