DraftKings has the New Orleans Saints favored in just one of their 17 games this season, which gives you an idea of how those around the league view them heading into 2025.
With the full 2025 NFL schedule released on Wednesday night, multiple sports books have released way-too-early betting odds on many of this season’s games. The Saints’ win total is set at 4.5 games, but they are favorites in just one game this season: at home vs the New York Jets.

In their game against the Jets in week 16, the Saints are favored by 1.5 points. Outside of that, they are underdogs in every single game this year.

In their season opener at home against the Arizona Cardinals, the Saints are 3.5-point underdogs. In their next two games, they’re 7-point and 6.5-point underdogs against the 49ers and Seahawks respectively. Vegas thinks there’s a very good chance the Saints start 0-3 on the season.
There are just four games where the Saints are less than 3-point underdogs this year: week 5 vs the New York Giants (+1.5), week 6 at the New England Patriots (+3), week 12 vs the Atlanta Falcons (+2.5) and week 15 vs the Carolina Panthers (+1.5).
On the other hand, there are five games where the Saints are more than a touchdown underdogs: week 2 vs the San Francisco 49ers (+7), week 4 at the Buffalo Bills (+12.5), week 7 at the Chicago Bears (+7.5), week 9 at the Los Angeles Rams (+9.5) and week 14 at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+9.5).
If Tyler Shough is as good as the Saints’ staff believes, there’s a chance the Saints can shock the league and win 7+ games. But the reality is this could be another long season for Saints fans.
