The Buffalo Bills will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Highmark Stadium with a big win on the line.
For this cross-conference battle between Sean McDermott’s Bills (6-3) Todd Bowles’ Buccaneers (6-3), it will be the games, within the game, that will make all the difference.
Here are Bills Wire’s three key matchups to watch during Week 11’s Bills vs. Buccaneers game:
WR Josh Palmer vs. CB Jamel Dean
Palmer is returning from injury and tight end Dalton Kincaid is going on the shelf and will not play because of a hamstring injury. It’s vital Palmer makes an impact with how much the Bills’ down-field passing game has struggled.
And no pressure, but Dean is currently the No. 1 cornerback in the NFL according to Pro Football Focus‘ metrics heading into Week 11.
DE Joey Bosa vs. OL Tristan Wirfs
Facing Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield will put pressure on Buffalo’s secondary. The Bills’ defensive backs will need to make plays, but Buffalo’s best best is stopping Mayfield from the trenches. PFF grades Bosa and Wirfs No. 15 and No. 10, respectively at their positions currently in the NFL.
That should be a good battle.
LB Terrel Bernard vs. RB Rachaad White
Regardless of who is at running back against the Bills defense, they seem to have successes in 2025. It will be a full-defensive effort, but Bernard is the quarterback of Buffalo’s defense.
