Pocola won a playoff game for a second straight year for the first time in 49 years. Meanwhile, Talihina won big at home in its playoff opener. Here are the first-round football playoff results for area teams.

Pocola (9-2) led 16-6 at halftime and 24-14 through three quarters. Pocola will play at Fairview (10-1) in the second round on Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. Garrett Bobst led Pocola with 13 tackles. Ja Posey was 18-of-32 passing for 235 yards, throwing two touchdown passes to Logan Dunigan. Dunigan had four catches for 91 yards. Jaryus Birdsong ran for 22 yards and a touchdown. Jayden Berry caught five passes for 54 yards. Jackson Parker ran for a key fourth-down conversion in the last minute. He also recovered a fumble.

Panama (7-4) trailed 48-6 at halftime. 

Talihina (11-0) led 30-8 at halftime and 44-8 by the end of the third quarter. Landen Griffith ran for three touchdowns and threw two touchdown passes. Noah Lloyd ran for a touchdown and had an interception. 

Talihina will face Healdton (9-2) at home in the second round on Nov. 21 at 7 p.m.

Keota (4-7) trailed 24-0 at halftime. 

Arkoma (4-8) trailed 30-0 in the first quarter.
