Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid spoke with reporters on Friday during his press conference, revealing the status of a key starter who will be ruled out for this Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.

Reid announced that starting running back Isiah Pacheco did not practice all week, and he was labeled unavailable for the second consecutive game by the team due to his lingering knee injury. The Chiefs’ leading rusher this season, with 329 yards, suffered the injury late in Kansas City’s Week 8 victory over the Washington Commanders. He’s the only Chiefs player listed as out for the Denver game.

Rookie left tackle Josh Simmons has returned to the team after a multiple-week absence, but hasn’t been officially reinserted into the lineup by the coaching staff. Reid wants to monitor his progress in hopes of him being ready for a ferocious Beoncos pass rush.
