With both starting pass rushers in Trey Hendrickson and rookie Shemar Stewart out for Sunday’s Week 11 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cincinnati Bengals elevated one pass rusher and added another running back to their active/inactive roster as part of a handful of moves Saturday afternoon.
Defensive end Isaiah Foskey and running back Kendall Milton were elevated to the active/inactive roster by the Bengals, while Stewart was placed on the Reserve/Injured list. Along with Stewart, practice squad offensive lineman Jaxson Kirkland was placed on the practice squad injured list, the Bengals announced Saturday.
Hendrickson was ruled out with a hip/pelvis injury and will miss both Steelers games this season. Meanwhile Stewart was ruled out Friday with a knee injury and then landed on the injured list Saturday morning.
Foskey has dressed for just one game this season, playing in Week 7 against the Steelers. In that 33-31 win over the Bengals, Foskey played eight special teams snaps. With injuries along the defensive line, Foskey could see some action Sunday at Acrisure Stadium.
Foskey has played in 28 career games, including 27 with the New Orleans Saints. Last season in New Orleans, Foskey had 16 tackles while playing primarily on special teams. He has played just 147 snaps defensively since entering the NFL as a second-round pick out of Notre Dame in 2023.
Milton played two games for the Bengals during the 2024 season and gets the elevation to their active/inactive roster with veteran running back Samaje Perine ruled out for the game Sunday with an ankle injury. Milton played just four offensive snaps in those two games last season for the Bengals.
He did rush for 94 yards on 20 carries in the preseason for the Bengals.
WR Jermaine Burton (Illness) has been downgraded to OUT for tomorrow’s game at Pittsburgh.

In addition to their roster moves made Saturday, the Bengals ruled out wide receiver Jermaine Burton with an illness. Burton has not played in a game this season for the Bengals, due in large part to disciplinary reasons.
He hauled in just four passes for 107 yards last season as a rookie out of Alabama but hasn’t been able to carve out a role in Cincinnati, struggling with discipline issues such as showing up late to practices, illnesses, and more.
