The Green Bay Packers (5-3-1) face the New York Giants (2-8) Sunday. Kickoff from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, is set for 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Packers vs. Giants odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.
Green Bay is reeling after having lost back-to-back games at home, most recently a 10-7 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday. The Packers failed to cover as 1-point underdogs as the Under (44.5) cashed. K Brandon McManus missed a 64-yard game-winning field goal attempt, but Green Bay’s offense which picked up just 261 yards and fumbled twice, was the problem in the loss.
New York lost 24-20 to the Chicago Bears Sunday, covering as a 4.5-point road underdog as the Under (45) hit. Backup QB Russell Wilson entered at the start of the fourth quarter to replace Jaxson Dart, who exited the contest with a concussion. Wilson led the Giants to a field goal on their opening drive of the quarter, but the offense was held to back-to-back 3-and-outs followed by a turnover on downs to end the contest.
Following the loss, the Giants fired coach Brian Daboll, who went 20-40 in 4 seasons, and named offensive coordinator Mike Kafka as interim head coach.
The Giants have won the last 2 meetings, including 24-22 in 2023, but the Packers lead the all-time series 34-28-2.

Packers 24, Giants 3
PASS.
Despite their recent play, the Packers are still better than this extremely injured and lost Giants team, so they will easily cover as -375 favorites in this matchup. But no team is worth the risk of backing as such a heavy favorite, so pass and bet on the spread and/or total instead.
PACKERS -7 (-110).
The Giants are missing their starting QB, RB, and 2 of their best wideouts, something that will be a death sentence against this stout Packers defense. Jameis Winston will start at QB ahead of Wilson. Defensively, New York is bottom 4 in both total and rushing yards per game, while also being bottom 10 in points allowed per game. Look for RB Josh Jacobs to dominate and open up the offense for Green Bay to cover here.
It is concerning that Green Bay’s offense and play calling has been so bad over these past couple of weeks that backing the Packers to cover ATS against any team is a risk, but they are clearly the better team.
BET UNDER 42 (-110).
With a new head coach and so many injuries, this Giants offense that has been solid will look much worse, especially against this Packers defense that gives even the most talented offenses trouble. The Giants can give up points at will, but they won’t be able to score here, and the Packers haven’t proven that they are even capable of taking advantage of a bad Giants defense.
