Kyle Pitts, Tyler Allgeier among players set to enter free agency after the season ends.
The Atlanta Falcons have a 3-6 record after their first nine games, and while the season is far from over, the team’s chances of making the playoffs are hanging by a thread. Unless the Falcons can find a way to go on an incredible second-half run, it won’t be long before fans are looking ahead to the 2026 offseason
A few key players set to become free agents after the season ends. Count tight end Kyle Pitts, running back Tyler Allgeier and linebacker Kaden Elliss among those whose contracts are set to expire.
Pitts is currently on pace for 85 catches, 793 yards and two touchdowns, which would be a respectable season after a few inconsistent years. A return to Atlanta doesn’t appear likely, though, unless he agrees to a team-friendly contract after testing the market.
Other notable players in the final years of their contract include defensive tackle David Onyemata and linebacker Troy Andersen — the former second-round pick. Since the Falcons don’t have a first-round draft pick in 2026, free agency will be more important than ever.
