The Washington Commanders will be without second-year tight end Ben Sinnott for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. Washington officially ruled out Sinnott on Saturday, roughly 24 hours before its Week 11 game in Madrid, Spain.

Sinnott wasn’t on the first injury report of the week, making his first appearance on Thursday’s report with an ankle injury. He practiced fully on Wednesday, but was limited on Thursday. Sinnott did not practice on Friday.

It’s a disappointing development for the 2024 second-round pick. Sinnott has remained behind Zach Ertz and John Bates on the tight end depth chart, but participated in 29% of Washington’s offensive snaps. He caught his first touchdown of the season in last week’s loss to the Lions. Sinnott has only three targets this season, but has three receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown.

Sinnott’s blocking has improved from last year, and many Washington fans were hoping to see him cut into some of Ertz’s snaps, considering the playoffs are essentially out of reach for the Commanders.
