St. Brown said that Campbell fed him the ball a lot more when he took over the play-calling duties in 2021.

The Detroit Lions are facing arguably their biggest test of the season.

The Lions (6-3, 1st in NFC North) head east to face the Philadelphia Eagles (7-2, 1st in NFC East) on Sunday, Nov. 16, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The game will kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET and will be televised on NBC.

Detroit is coming off a 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders on Nov. 9 that vaulted them into a tie for first place in the division (with a tiebreaker edge on the Chicago Bears, following the Green Bay Packers’ loss to the Eagles the following day). Meanwhile, the Eagles are on a short week after their Monday night win over Green Bay, but the defending Super Bowl champs are looking to reestablish themselves as the NFC’s premier team.

The Lions enter the game banged up on both sides of the ball, however. Tight end Sam LaPorta was placed on injured reserve on Saturday with a back injury, while the Lions will also be without All-Pro safety Kerby Joseph and starting cornerback Terrion Arnold.

Additionally, defensive backs D.J. Reed and Amik Robertson are questionable with hamstring injuries, with Reed likely not playing as he’s still on injured reserve (but can be added to the roster if needed).

The challenge for the Lions is daunting, but there’s a huge potential reward with a win. If Detroit can overcome its injuries and beat the Birds in prime time on the road, they’ll be back as one of the league’s elite teams.

Here’s what you need to know about Sunday’s game.
