The 49ers are planning on welcoming back quarterback Brock Purdy who has been sidelined for most of this season with a toe injury. He missed the Week 3 meeting between these squads that featured Mac Jones leading a game-wining drive to secure a 16-15 win. Last week San Francisco lost to the Los Angeles Rams, 42-26, dropping the team to 6-4. Christian McCaffery was held in check on the ground but still had 66 yards receiving while George Kittle and Jauan Jennings combined for 155 receiving yards with each also scoring a touchdown.
The 3-6 Cardinals are coming off a 44-22 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in which quarterback Jacoby Brissett had two fumbles that were both returned for touchdowns. Arizona forced two fumbles itself and also had an interception, but it couldn’t shake the 35-0 hole it started off in. Brissett completed half of his 44 passes for 258 yards and two scores with Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison Jr. on the receiving end of those scores. McBride had game-highs with nine catches and 127 yards.
