There go those Carolina Panthers!
They took down Atlanta Falcons in OT.
Yesterday, they were down 21-10 at half.
That Falcons’ offense was humming in the first.
Half.
Michael Pennox Jr.
Completed 11 of his 12 pass attempts for 163 yards.
He found the end zone on three of the Falcons’ four possessions in the first half.
But in the second, the Panthers came back.
They battled back to kick a 45-yard field goal in overtime to take down The Atlanta Falcons, and a lot of that was powered by Bryce Young.
He completed 31 of 45 passes for 448 yards and 3 touchdowns.
That was good to break Cam Newton’s franchise record for most passing yards in a single game.

And 318 of his 440.
Passing yards all came in the second half, made more impressive by the fact that Bryce Young went to the locker room with an ankle injury before halftime after he got Absolutely blown up by a sack in first half.
But don’t look now.
The Panthers are now sitting at 6 and 5, and they remain very much in striking distance of The Tampa Bay Buccaneers sit atop the NFC South at 6-4.
So Panthers are going to nip at some heels here for the division.
They still have two meetings with Tampa Bay coming up.
So those are two critical, critical matchups for this division.
It’s a long shot right now.

Most simulators give the Panthers about 25% chance of making the playoffs.
But they control their own destiny.
The postseason is still very much in play.
For this Carolina Panthers team, as long as they’re getting quarterback play like they did From Bryce Young yesterday.
