NFL Week 11 Bengals Vs. Steelers post game review
Bengals Beat Reporter Kelsey Conway discusses the Bengals loss to the Steelers
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith said he thinks Cincinnati Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase should get an automatic two-game suspension for spitting on Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey during their altercation in Pittsburgh’s 34-12Â Week 11 win.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the NFL will review the incident.
Chase denied spitting on Ramsey, but Ramsey said Chase spit on him before Ramsey was ejected, and Fox 19 video via Twitter/X of the incident appeared to support Ramsey’s claim.
The current NFL season was only six seconds old when Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter was disqualified during an injury timeout for spitting on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
Former Bengals receiver and NBC Sports color analyst Cris Collinsworth shared criticism of Carter when Carter was ejected after the game-opening kickoff during the NFL’s first regular-season game.
The NFL ruled that Carter’s ejection served as a one-game suspension, and he forfeited his game check of $57,222.
If Chase is suspended for a game, the Bengals could be without him in Week 12 against the New England Patriots.
“If you spit on me, you’re allowed to punch that guy,” Dan Patrick said on “Dan Patrick Show.” “And I hope they rescind whatever punishment they’re going to have for Jalen Ramsey. … Or better yet, make Ja’Marr Chase pay for it.”
