The Justin Fields experiment has ended for the New York Jets.

Veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor, 36, has been named New York’s starter under center for the Jets’ upcoming game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday in Week 12.

The decision was announced on Monday, days after the Jets (2-8) lost in a 27-14 final to the New England Patriots (9-2) on “Thursday Night Football.”

In that outing, it was another poor game for Fields. He threw for only 116 yards. New York’s passing attack is ranked 32nd in yards per game (139.9).

Taylor is a longtime vet in the NFL. Ironically enough, he was drafted by the Ravens back in 2011.

Taylor has started one game this season, a Week 3 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Fields missed that outing because of a concussion.

In his career, Taylor has a 28-29-1 overall record.
