Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young is the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 11 of the NFL season, the league announced on Wednesday.

During the Panthers’ 30-27 overtime victory against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, Young completed 31-of-45 passes for 448 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions.

Young became the first player in NFL history younger than age 25 to record a game with at least 31 completions, 448 passing yards, three TD passes and no interceptions. The game was the 19th in which a player met those numbers regardless of age.

Young’s passing yardage is the most in one game in Carolina history, surpassing the 432 yards of Cam Newton in a 2011 game against the Green Bay Packers.

Newton won the NFC Offensive Player of the Week Award 10 times as the Panthers quarterback. Young became the fifth Carolina QB to win the award, joining other one-time winners Kerry Collins in 1996, Steve Beuerlein in 1999 and Jake Delhomme in 2008.

Young became the fourth former Alabama quarterback to win a Player of the Week Award since the league began the recognition program in 1984. Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles and Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins are three-time winners, and Jeff Rutledge won the NFC Offensive Player of the Week Award for Week 9 of the 1990 season while with the Washington Redskins.
