The Los Angeles Rams were busy on Wednesday as they prepare to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12. They made a total of six roster moves, shuffling the deck due to recent injuries.
They added Rob Havenstein, Tyler Higbee and Quentin Lake all to injured reserve, sidelining them for at least four games. The Rams also made a decision on Harrison Mevis, who had been on the practice squad, by signing him to the active roster.
Additionally, the team claimed safety Chris Smith II off waivers from the Raiders and signed defensive back Alex Johnson to the practice squad after he was cut by the Titans earlier this month.
With Mevis getting a promotion, the Rams now have two kickers signed to the 53-man roster: Mevis and Joshua Karty. Sean McVay said in the last two weeks that Karty will remain on the roster, and he’s apparently sticking to his word.
The Rams still have one roster spot available after putting three players on IR and signing two to the 53-man roster on Wednesday, but no other moves seem to be imminent.
