Earlier this year, the NFL announced that the second in-season edition of “Hard Knocks” would take place in 2025 and follow the NFC East. Arguably the NFL’s most historic and popular division, the 2025 version was even more intriguing.

Not only would “Hard Knocks” feature the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, but also the 2024 NFC runner-up, the Washington Commanders. The Eagles, with arguably the NFL’s most talented roster, would face the Commanders, featuring the NFL’s newest superstar quarterback, Jayden Daniels. Then there is the Dallas Cowboys, featuring the return of quarterback Dak Prescott from injury and the New York Giants.

On Wednesday, Warner Brothers Discovery announced that “Hard Knocks: In Season with the NFC East” would debut on December 2 on HBO Max.

Warner Brothers also released a statement promoting the show:

HBO and NFL Films re-team to present HARD KNOCKS: IN SEASON WITH THE NFC EAST debuting TUESDAY, DECEMBER  2 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. New episodes will premiere on subsequent Tuesdays through the end of the NFL regular season and continue into the NFL playoffs in January 2026.   HARD KNOCKS: IN SEASON WITH THE NFC EAST will follow the reigning Super Bowl LIX champion Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Giants, and the Washington Commanders during the final stretch of the NFL season. From wins and losses to injuries and adversity, the series will capture an inside look at life in one of football’s most historic divisions. The series will be narrated by Liev Schreiber.

While everyone loves every edition of “Hard Knocks,” this season hasn’t gone as planned for some teams in the NFC East. The Eagles are again on top of the division, holding the NFC East’s only winning record. The Cowboys have made some big trades since the summer, sending Micah Parsons to the Packers and acquiring Quinnen Williams from the Jets.

Meanwhile, injuries have destroyed the Commanders’ season, with Daniels and wide receiver Terry McLaurin only playing two games together. The Giants, led by rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, have had some exciting moments, but have only won two games and recently fired head coach Brian Daboll.

From a Washington perspective, you’d probably just like to skip the first time the franchise has ever been featured on “Hard Knocks.”
