GLENDALE – One of the biggest questions for this Arizona Cardinals team currently is what the future of the Quarterback position looks like, and what the team would be if they moved on from Kyler Murray? Former Cardinals QB Kurt Warner gave his opinion on the matter.

Kurt Warner’s opinion on the Cardinals QB situation:
During a podcast with PHNX Sports, one of the biggest questions about the future of the quarterback position was asked to none other than former Cardinals QB Kurt Warner. Warner mentioned, “There’s no guarantee that if you get rid of a good one, you’ll get a great one.” Warner was implying that if the Cardinals do decide to move on from Kyler Murray, the grass might not always be greener on the other side.

This season has not gone according to plan for the Cardinals, and the flurry of issues has caused all the questions to be asked about the future of this franchise. After the injury to Cardinals QB Kyler Murray, they turned to veteran journeyman Jacoby Brissett, though it hasn’t gone according to plan. The Cardinals have been blown out in their last two meetings, and both to divisional opponents, the Seahawks and 49ers. Arizona hasn’t shown any signs of life, and now, after Brissett’s win in Dallas over the Cowboys, is he the answer for the Cardinals’ future?

There are a certain number of top-tier QBs in the NFL, and it is hard to see that even this current upcoming draft class will have the talent to compete at a level that would give the Cardinals their best chance of making the playoffs. Arizona’s best case for the time being might just be to ride with Murray going forward, given his still high ceiling with his talent, and the unknown surrounding trading or drafting for a new one.
