The New York Jets‘ grind through the 2025 NFL season rolls on in Week 12. This time, the Jets (2-8) will visit the Baltimore Ravens (5-5) at M&T Bank Stadium.

All week, topics and storylines have been discussed ahead of this battle between AFC foes. In the end, regardless of what is said by players, coaches, media outlets and fans, it always comes down to what unfolds on the field in the NFL.

And once the battle arrives, there will be a few particular things to keep in mind to look out for.

With that, here are five things to watch for during the Jets and Ravens clash in Week 12:

Confirmed: Tyrod Taylor starts at quarterback for the Jets as Justin Fields has been benched.

Things to watch? Duh. Taylor.

Deeper than that, does Taylor under center open things up on the Jets offense?

Not just in terms of the passing game, but the ground game and Breece Hall at running back could really shine now. Will Hall have a better chance?

The Ravens have the 20th best run defense in the NFL, allowed 121.5 yards per game.

Now there are no excuses for John Metchie III and AD Mitchell. The pair of receivers acquired around the NFL trade deadline via trade should be comfortable with the Jets’ game plan on offense… and they have a better quarterback in Taylor this week.

What do they have in them?

Brandon Stephens signed in New York this past offseason to be the Jets’ No. 2 cornerback across from Sauce Gardner. One trade later, he’s the top defensive back for the Green and White and he’s facing his former team this week.

To his own credit, Stephens is Pro Football Focus‘ 12th best cornerback in the league this season. He’s holding his own and doing well.

Between Ravens wideouts Zay Flowers and DeAndre Hopkins, can he defend against Ravens QB Lamar Jackson?

The tackling on the Jets defense has been suspect this season. If there is ever a team to fix that against? It’s now.

Derrick Henry is his name and it doesn’t matter what his numbers are (807 total, sixth in NFL), he’s a hard running back to stop.

Get ready, Jets defense. He’s one-of-a-kind.
