Jerry Jones would love a little bit of what’s going on in Philly to hit the Cowboys’ locker room.

The Eagles lead the NFC with an 8-2 record and possibly the NFL with the number of headline-making feuds among its star players.

“Give me some of that strife,” Jones declared during his weekly spot on Dallas’ 105.3 The Fan on Friday morning.

There’s no shortage in Philadelphia: receiver A.J. Brown isn’t happy with his role, running back Saquon Barkley is massively underperforming and quarterback Jalen Hurts has become the face of the 25th-ranked offense.

Questions have plagued the reigning Super Bowl champs about the locker room dynamics.

Jones, 83, has seen plenty in his 36 years of owning the Cowboys, so he’s familiar with the tension hitting his NFC East rival.

“I will never forget one of the biggest debates ever was what music was going to be played in the dressing room,” he said. “…There are a lot of different thoughts that go on when you have that many people working together. That’s the importance of the team. That’s important to sort out what’s important to winning football games. That’s the key. What is important to winning football games? Every boat rises, everybody will get to hear a little more music and a lot more happiness if you can all come together and win the game.”

If Jones wants strife, he got some this week when two of his star receivers, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, were benched for the opening drive against the Raiders on Thursday night for missing curfew.

The pair were having dinner at a nearby casino, with Lamb staunchly refuting reports he was outside the gaming parlor throwing up at 7:30 a.m. on game day.

The idea of his players partying before a game didn’t sit well with the owner.

“Yes, I do (have a problem with it),” Jones said. “The idea is this is a business trip. Let’s get down to business. Let’s check it all back in Dallas, and let’s get in here. See, that’s the night that they spend the night together, as you know, they can say, but it’s not quite the same routine, let’s put it like that, that it is when you’re home.”

It’s not exactly internal tension, but maybe it’s enough to lift the 4-5-1 Cowboys into playoff position.
