FuboTV customers are currently unable to view NBC and other channels in the NBC Universal family due to an ongoing contract dispute between Comcast-owned NBC and live streaming TV-provider fuboTV. But there are some free solutions available, especially for college football and other sports fans who don’t want to miss games this coming weekend.

NBC, as well as a variety of local NBC Sports affiliates, USA Network, CNBC and more NBCU-owned channels are carried on many other major live Internet TV streaming services, including DirecTV (free trial) and others. Fans can also sign up for Peacock for more college football games on NBC channels, but make sure you check the schedule to see if your team is playing on the service this weekend, as it does not offer a free trial.

Here are your options to watch college football games on NBC-owned channels while they are blacked out on fuboTV.

Where can I still watch NBC?

Most other major live Internet TV streaming services include NBC as part of their programming, but there are some differences between each services. Some, like DirecTV, offer free trials, so you can sign up and start enjoying the service cost-free, before deciding whether to continue with your subscription.

Here’s what each service offers.

BEST BET: DirecTV (free trial)

DirecTV is a comprehensive live TV streaming service that offers more than 95 live TV channels, including NBC, USA Network, MSNBC and more. Enjoy local and national live sports, breaking news, and must-see shows the moment they air. Included: unlimited cloud DVR storage space so you can record as many shows as you want and stream them from wherever you go. DTV starts at $34.99 per month after a 5-day free trial when you shop their customizable genre packs.

CHEAPEST: Sling TV Blue + HD Antenna

Sling TV is a great option if you’re looking to save a bit on your streaming costs. At $46 a month, it’s lower than any of its major competitors. It is missing local channels, including NBC in most markets, but you can fix that with an HD Antenna, like this one. Sling Blue includes other NBCU-owned channels you’re looking for, including USA Network, CNBC and MSNBC.

BEST bundle: Hulu + Live TV (free trial)

If you love Disney-owned channels, Hulu + Live TV may be your best buy on the list. Its basic, $89.99 subscription includes 95+ channels, including NBC and USA Network, right in the base price. It also includes Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Select in your subscription fee, which more than makes up for the short, three-day free trial.

Can I get NBC with Peacock?

Yes. Peacock is not the same as NBC, and it does not include every piece of NBCU owned content, however, Peacock Premium Plus ($16.99/month) subscribers get a live feed of their local NBC station included in their subscription. Peacock also includes exclusives like English Premier League and more.

What about other cable providers?

The fuboTV-NBC dispute only impacts fuboTV subscribers. Cable providers are not affected at this time.

What about StreamEast?

StreamEast was free for streaming sports, but it was inconsistent and illegal, but it was shut down by the federal government at the start of the new NFL Season. Replacements like CrackStreams 2.0 and MethStreams have sprung up in its place, but they are similarly unreliable, risky and illegal. DirecTV is a reliable streaming platform where you can watch college football — or any live sports — for free.

Which games are on ACC Network this weekend?

Here’s the schedule for college football games on NBC this weekend. All times ET:

Saturday, November 22:Why did fuboTV drop NBC?

In an email to customers on Friday afternoon, fuboTV accused NBC/Universal of offering “terms regarding pricing and packaging that are egregiously above those offered to other distributors.”

As a result, those channels were blacked out as of 5 p.m. ET on Friday, November 21. Fubo has assured customers that “if this impasse continues for an extended period of time Fubo will automatically apply a credit of $15 to your account.”

This is the latest streaming dispute following YouTube TV’s contract negotiation dispute with Disney-owned ESPN earlier in November. That dispute took more than two weeks to resolve, during which YouTube TV customers were blacked out of ESPN, ABC and other Disney-owned channels.

Impacted channels include local NBC affiliates, Telemundo, NBC Sports regional networks, CNBC, MSNBC, Bravo, and USA Network, among others.
