As part of the tough second half of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ schedule, they’ll have to prepare for the Buffalo Bills after playing in Chicago this Sunday. And the Bills, as most NFL teams are at this point in the year, are dealing with injuries.

NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe gave some info on a few injured Bills players Friday, including RT Spencer Brown, LB Terrel Bernard and CB Maxwell Hairston, via his X account.

Bills RT Spencer Brown and LB Terrel Bernard are candidates to go on injured reserve with injuries suffered Thursday vs. Texans, per HC Sean McDermott.

TBD on full injury timeline but neither expected to play next Sunday vs. Steelers.

CB Maxwell Hairston in concussion protocol

Brown would be a sizeable loss for the Bills. He’s started all 10 games this season, including their loss to the Houston Texans on Thursday night. He’s been reliable, with Pro Football Focus giving him an 80.1 overall grade, 12th of 76 offensive tackles. If he goes on injured reserve, it would be a big loss for the Bills as they prepare for T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig. Brown reportedly had a sling on his arm after Thursday’s game.

Like Brown, Bernard has also started all 10 games this season. And losing him would hurt the Bills against both the pass and the run. He’s held opposing quarterbacks to just a 76.2 passer rating when targeting him. He’s also made 56 tackles on the season and has only missed four. Bernard was injured Thursday while trying to make a tackle when his teammate collided with him, and he hyperextended his elbow.

Unfortunately for the Bills, Hairston has found it hard to see the field in his rookie season. He didn’t play until the Bills visited Carolina in late October. Like the aforementioned two, Hairston also suffered his injury against the Texans, having his neck twisted awkwardly while making a tackle.

These are some tough injuries for the Bills to deal with, especially given their recent stretch of play. Thursday was a tough loss for them, dropping their record to 7-4. They’ve also had surprising losses to Miami and Atlanta in recent weeks. They have talent but are a beatable team, despite how inconsistent the Steelers have been.

They’ll have some extra rest as they prepare for the Steelers, having a week and a half off after the Thursday game. Yet Brown and Bernard don’t seem likely to play next week. And Hairston will have to clear concussion protocol.
