Pittsburgh Steelers OLB Alex Highsmith received a troubling injury update ahead of the Week 12 matchup vs. the Chicago Bears.
After finishing Friday’s practice as a limited participant, Highsmith (pectoral) was listed as doubtful to play this Sunday against the Bears — what now appears to be his second straight missed game.
Highsmith picked up the pectoral injury in the Week 10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers — leading to the talented defender being ruled out the following game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Despite being a limited participant in back-to-back practices, Highsmith will likely be inactive against Chicago. Fans can expect a heavy dose of Nick Herbig this Sunday — an underrated pass rusher who currently leads the Steelers’ defense with 6.5 sacks this season.
