NFL Announces Punishment for Cardinals TE Trey McBride

The Arizona Cardinals faced the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11 of the NFL season.

The Cardinals entered the game with a 3-6 record, having lost six of their last seven.

Arizona quarterback Jacoby Brissett made his fifth straight start with Kyler Murray out with an injury.

The 49ers ended up defeating the Cardinals 41-22, with Brissett finishing with 452 yards passing, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Cardinals tight end Trey McBride finished with 10 receptions for 115 yards and one touchdown.

But in the second quarter, with 10:20 left, he was assessed an unsportsmanlike conduct for a “nose wipe” celebration.

McBride caught a pass and ran for a first down. As he stood up, he made a move that was considered a violent gesture.

On Saturday, the NFL announced the fines for Week 11, and McBride was listed for that. He’ll have to pay $14,491.

McBride is in his fourth season in the NFL.

He was a second-round pick by the Cardinals in the 2022 draft.

This season, he’s recorded 71 catches for 718 yards and seven touchdowns.

McBride and the Cardinals will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET.
