NFL Week 12 picks: Consider Browns, Vikings and Eagles
Lorenzo Reyes went 2-1 with his picks last week and he’s ready to carry that energy over to Week 12’s slate.
A new week marks a new quarterback under center for the New York Jets.
Jets head coach Aaron Glenn has officially made the change, as QB Justin Fields has been benched in favor of veteran QB Tyrod Taylor, who gets the start in Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens. Glenn announced the news to reporters during a media availability on Wednesday afternoon.
After another underwhelming passing performance by Fields, it was time for Glenn to make the move to Taylor so this young, inexperienced receiving core has a better option of who is passing them the ball.
While Glenn didn’t say this move is permanent, it would probably be a shock if he decided to go back to Fields this season after all of the accuracy issues and inability to consistently lead the team down the field via the passing game.
Sunday will be a familiar spot for Taylor, who plays his former team — the Ravens — the one that drafted him in the sixth round out of Virginia Tech in the 2011 NFL Draft.
This is not an easy spot for the Jets to be in. Despite having the extra rest from playing on Thursday night in Week 11, they’ll be on the road in Baltimore against a red-hot Ravens organization, currently on a four-game winning streak and back to the .500 mark following a disappointing 1-5 start to the season heading to their bye in Week 7.

Jets vs. Ravens predictions, picks, odds
Ravens 34, Jets 13:Â The QB change finally happened since we now know that head coach Aaron Glenn has made the move from Justin Fields to Tyrod Taylor under center. Even with the transition to a more stable pocket passer in Taylor, the Jets offense simply won’t be able to keep up with one of the hottest teams in the NFL and the defense will struggle mightily against the likes of QB Lamar Jackson and RB Derrick Henry. There’s a chance if the Jets don’t come out of the gates scoring early this one could be decided by the third quarter, if not sooner. The Ravens will cruise to victory here as they defeat the Jets by three scores to continue their ascension into the AFC playoff picture.
