Bengals vs. Patriots preview video before Nov. 23 game

Enquirer beat reporter Kelsey Conway previews the Bengals vs. Patriots game on Nov. 23.

Cincinnati Bengals rookie running back Tahj Brooks was evaluated for a possible concussion during the third quarter of the team’s NFL Week 12 game against the New England Patriots at Paycor Stadium.

The Bengals announced Brooks’ return as questionable.

Brooks went to the blue medical tent after the kickoff to open the second half. Then Brooks went to the locker room.

Samaje Perine is inactive for the Bengals. The Bengals elevated Gary Brightwell from the practice squad before the game.

Brooks led the Bengals with 47 rushing yards on 11 carries in their second NFL preseason game against the Washington Commanders.

Brooks was a sixth-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft from Texas Tech.

“Tahj Brooks had a remarkable career at Texas Tech,” ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. said during the broadcast. “He runs hard. He takes a lot of hits. But he held up physically, which was amazing.”
