Head Coach Aaron Glenn

Opening statement: “[That was a] tough loss today. To me, I feel bad for the players. I just told them how much I love them and how much effort they gave was outstanding. To not get a victory when I think those guys really played the first half exactly how we wanted to. When it comes to taking the ball, that first drive, we should have scored on that. Then we come back, stop them on defense, and then we get a score. We come out of the half [up] 7-3. I thought our guys played exactly how we want to. We knew the second half that [the Ravens] were going to have a surge, and those guys did. We as a coaching staff, we have to help them. Also, we have got to make plays when there is time to make plays. I believe in these guys. I believe in this team.”

On why he was upset at the substitution procedure on Ravens’ RB Derrick Henry’s first touchdown: “There were a number of calls that I questioned. The one thing that we are not going to do is we are not going to make excuses. It happens in this league. I just thought when they subbed, that you have to give us time to sub. Our guys were running on the field, and we didn’t have time to sub. It is what it is.”

On RB Breece Hall’s fumble: “I love that player. [Breece Hall]’s a damn good player for us. He’s going to fight for every yard. We all know once you’re fighting for every yard, we have to be able to protect the ball. [Marlon Humphrey] did a really good job of going after it and getting it. We had [Hall] going, trying to get him the ball as much as we could, as you saw. That was one of those times where they made a good play, and they took it out. That was a good play by them.”

On QB Tyrod Taylor’s performance: “I thought he played well. I don’t know what the passing yards are. I know there were over 200-some yards. We’ve got to be able to mix the run game and the pass game together to get exactly what we want. I just think from watching it, I thought he did a really good job.
