Quotable: “Really proud of the guys,” Bears head coach Ben Johnson told chicagobears.com after their latest win. “Thought they did a phenomenal job just responding. We were decimated in certain areas. The easy thing is to say, ‘Woe is me,’ and our guys didn’t do that. They just stepped up and kept battling through. It happens to most teams each season, too, where your depth gets tested, and it just so happens, it was this week for us.”

Twentyman: The Bears avoided having to play the Aaron Rodgers-led Steelers (fractured hand) and were able to do enough to get another win, their fourth in a row and eighth in their last nine. The Bears were without six starters on defense and lost three more in the game but still found a way to win. Credit to them. We’ll really start to see what this Bears team is made of the next two weeks with road games in Philadelphia and Green Bay.

Next up: at Philadelphia (8-3), Fri., Nov. 28, 3 p.m.
