Which team has the best path to the NFC South title?

The more the NFC South changes, the more it stays the same. After the first 12 weeks of the 2025 NFL season, there is no clear front-runner. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have lost three games in a row since their 6-2 start, dropping to 6-5 following Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Plus, Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield suffered a shoulder strain and could miss some time. The Carolina Panthers bounced back from an 0-2 start to make a mid-season push for the division, however, they fell short against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night and now sit at 6-6.

The Atlanta Falcons have been by far the most inconsistent team in the division through the first 12 weeks. After defeating the Buffalo Bills to improve to 3-2, the Falcons lost five straight games to fall to 3-7. Finally, the team was able to end the streak by defeating the New Orleans Saints in Week 12.

At 4-7, the Falcons are still technically alive in the NFC South hunt. Meanwhile, the Saints are out of the picture at 2-9. With six weeks left in the season, let’s check out each division team’s remaining schedule.
