Packers quarterback Jordan Love talks about his health, facing Lions

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love talks about the offense and preparing for the Thanksgiving matchup against the Detroit Lions.

The Green Bay Packers close out the regular season with a tough stretch of games.

Starting with the Detroit Lions (7-4) on Thanksgiving Day, the Packers (7-3-1) will play four of their last six games against NFC North opponents, plus matchups against the Denver Broncos (9-2) and Baltimore Ravens (6-5).

We asked our PackersNews reporters the question of the week and now we’re asking fans:

Who’s one player on offense and one on defense who can make the most impact for the Packers the rest of the season?

Glenn Erwin: Christian (Watson) and Keisean (Nixon).

George: (Micah) Parsons and (Jayden) Reed

David: Jordan Love

Dave: Christian Watson on offense. His pure athleticism, breakaway speed, and toughness will be the most impactful. Micah Parsons on defense. His relentlessness can be contagious.

Terry: Devonte Wyatt. Sudden, violent and disruptive in the middle of the pass rush. Will make things much easier for Parsons to excel.

John: Christian Watson, Micah Parsons

Scott Schone: Watson, Parsons

KG: Parsons, (Matthew) Golden

Jim: Watson and (Edgerrin) Cooper

Bill Flahive Sr: Watson, Parsons

Scott: Easy on defense, Micah. So many on offense, Jayden Reed can bring back some of what Kraft brought.

James Miller: Jordan Love and Rashan Gary

Allyn Michalek: Parsons and Love

Ted: Offense – Watson. Defense – Parsons

MPG: Parsons for D/ Watson for O

Chuck: Reed and Parsons

Dennis John: Love and Parsons

Terry Nilles: It would be very difficult for any offensive player to have more of an impact than Love. On defense, I can’t imagine anyone having a bigger impact than Parsons. If you’re looking for sleepers, I would go with Watson on offense and (Xavier) McKinney on defense.

Wayne Foster: Watson and McKinney

John Stern: Reed. Parsons

Tom Kohlbeck: Offense, Watson. Defense, Carrington Valentine.

Mike: Watson and Parsons

Marc: Reed and Parsons

Mike: Wyatt is due to break out on dline if he can stay healthy. A healthy J. Reed on offense could open up the passing game as he can make big plays.

Erwin Penny: Defensively I believe if Devonte Wyatt can step up his game just a little it will have a big impact on the defense as a whole. Being able to help stuff the run and collapse the pocket from inside will speed up the QB’s clock and make it hard to escape. Offensively, has to be Jayden Reed or Anthony Belton. Belton could have an impact allowing Jacobs to get going in the cold weather games coming soon. Reed, just adding a reliable set of hands, a good route running will impact the offense.

Nee Lund: Belton

Rick: Love and Parsons

Tim: Wyatt (Parsons of course) and Watson (Love of course)

John: Reed and Parsons

Tom: Love and Parsons

Donald Sparacino: Watson

Josh Robinson: Watson and Parsons

Heathcliff: Belton and (Warren) Brinson

Dan Cropp: Offense: Reed. Defense: Parsons

Rolando Nica: Love

Tosafish: Offense must be Jordan Love – begins and ends with him. Defense is more nuanced, but I’d say Devonte Wyatt, to improve interior run and pass defense overall.
