After only playing six snaps on Sunday, the Cardinals ruled out Walter Nolen III for this weekend’s game against the Buccaneers. The defensive lineman exited the game early with a knee injury.

Marvin Harrison Jr., who has been sidelined since his appendicitis surgery a little over two weeks ago, made his return to practice on a limited basis.

“It was good to see him running,” quarterback Jacoby Brissett said. “He went through something very traumatic. To have him back out there was really good and I’m excited to see how this week unfolds for him.”

Seven players were absent from practice on Wednesday. Outside linebacker Josh Sweat did not practice with an eye injury. He briefly exited the game on Sunday, but returned.

Outside linebacker Baron Browning is still in concussion protocol, while safety Rabbit Taylor-Demerson and running back Emari Demercado continue to nurse ankle injuries. Right guard Will Hernandez did not practice with a hip injury that sidelined him for the second half of last weekend’s game. Right tackle Kelvin Beachum was out with a groin injury.

Running back Trey Benson (knee) was limited as he works through his 21-day practice window. Cornerbacks Max Melton (heel) and Will Johnson (back/hip) were also limited. Running back Bam Knight was limited with a knee injury.

There is a question mark at quarterback when it comes to the Buccaneers’ starting quarterback. After injuring his non-throwing shoulder on Sunday, Baker Mayfield said “If it’s gonna hinder how I play, then I probably won’t go. But I won’t know that until later in the week of getting practice reps and see how that goes.”
