The Tennessee Titans have signed former first-round pick Kaiir Elam, a cornerback formerly of the Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys, as another depth piece in the team’s ailing secondary.

Elam, 24, was Buffalo’s first-round pick in 2022. He’s started 19 games across four seasons, including seven this season with the Dallas Cowboys, and has two interceptions and seven pass breakups in his career. The Cowboys waived Elam on Nov. 22, setting the stage for the Titans to be able to pick him up.

To make room for Elam on the roster, the Titans waived cornerback Samuel Womack III, who had been on the roster since the Titans claimed him off waivers prior to Week 1.

The rest of the Titans’ cornerback room consists of Darrell Baker Jr., Jalyn Armour-Davis, Marcus Harris and Micah Robinson. Veteran L’Jarius Sneed is on injured reserve, and the Titans traded starters Jarvis Brownlee Jr., and Roger McCreary earlier in the season. Harris and Baker are the only cornerbacks on the active roster who spent the offseason with the Titans, and Baker is a rookie.

The Titans (1-10) host the Jacksonville Jaguars (7-4) at Nissan Stadium on Nov. 30 (noon CT, CBS).
