The Denver Broncos play the Washington Commanders in Week 13. Denver hopes to have cornerback Pat Surtain II back. He’s off to a good start in practice this week, but we won’t know for sure until Friday. That said, five other players are in limbo for Week 13 as well. Let’s see who is potentially out for the Broncos this week.

Pat Bryant

Bryant is coming off a five-reception, 82-yard game on six targets in Week 11. And in Week 10, Bryant caught a 43-yard reception as well. So, he’s marinating well in his rookie season for the Broncos. That said, Bryant is dealing with a shoulder issue. But he was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. Unless there’s a setback, Bryant should be good to go for Week 13.

Jonathon Cooper

Cooper, No. 34 in PFSN’s EDGE Impact Score, was a full participant. He should be good to go for Week 13. Stay tuned later this week, though, for any potential setback.

Alex Singleton

Singleton, No. 28 in PFSN’s LB Impact Score, is on pace to return to the lineup this week. Huzzah.

Jonah Elliss

Elliss was limited in practice on Wednesday. He’s dealing with a hamstring issue. We’ll have more news on Elliss as information develops later this week.

Pat Surtain II

Burying the lede, Surtain II, No. 4 in PFSN’s CB Impact Score, was limited in practice on Wednesday. We’ll see if he can upgrade to a full participant by Friday. That said, if he can’t, Surtain II still may play in Week 13 on a snap count. This is a situation to monitor leading up to the game vs. the Washington Commanders.

Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin was limited in practice on Wednesday as well. The Broncos need Surtain II to suit up to help out fellow cornerback Riley Moss with McLaurin and Deebo Samuel, although Samuel may hide in the slot. But Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph wants the optionality to have Surtain II follow Samuel in the slot if that’s what he wants to call.

Nate Adkins

Adkins is the only player on the list who didn’t practice in any capacity on Wednesday. Unless there’s progress on Thursday or Friday, it looks like fellow tight end Marcedes Lewis will be elevated from the practice squad again.
