The Bulldogs are being taught about the significance of the Battle for the Golden Egg by head football coach Jeff Lebby.
With bowl eligibility on the line in Friday’s game against the Ole Miss Rebels at Davis Wade Stadium, there is always state pride at stake for the Bulldogs when it comes to getting the Golden Egg Trophy back in Starkville.
Lebby said the importance of the situation is more than just about the current players on the roster.
