The Arizona Cardinals have released outside linebacker Xavier Thomas, the team announced on Friday.
Thomas has largely been a healthy scratch for the Cardinals this season but has appeared in four games this season with no defensive statistics registered.
Following the news, Thomas posted on X, thanking the fans for his time in Arizona.
Thank you Cards Nation for the oppurtunity ❤️ Will continue to follow his plan, this is only the beginning. https://t.co/y5Gx22UW3g

Since being drafted in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, Thomas has appeared in 18 games across two seasons, registering 10 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
The news comes as linebacker Baron Browning, who has missed the last two games with a concussion, was a full participant in practice on Friday and looks to be on track to play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
