LIONS WR WEEK-TO-WEEK

The Steelers play the Bills Sunday in what figures to be one of their more difficult games remaining. However, they’ve got several other tough opponents left, too. That includes the Detroit Lions, who they’ll play in Week 16. The Lions have one of the NFL’s best offenses, but they’re currently 7-5.

The Lions lost Thursday to the Green Bay Packers, and star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown left the game in the first half with an injury and did not return. NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero shared on Twitter that St. Brown isn’t expected to miss much time is week-to-week with an ankle injury. That means he should be back for the Steelers game.

At this point, Amon-Ra St. Brown is not expected to land on IR and likely will be week-to-week as the Lions enter the stretch run. https://t.co/ZJqlsFXfGG

ELLIOTT SUPPORTS STUDENTS

DeShon Elliott was one of the Steelers’ best additions last year. He gave them a steady presence at safety alongside Minkah Fitzpatrick. With Fitzpatrick gone, the Steelers counted on Elliott continuing to play well. Unfortunately, injuries have derailed his season. He’s on injured reserve, and it seems unlikely that he’ll return this year.

That isn’t stopping Elliott from making a positive impact off the field. Steelers Community Relations on Twitter showed that Elliott recently opened a food pantry at a local school. It’s meant to support students by delivering food boxes to them and their families. While Elliott isn’t playing, he’s still making a difference in Pittsburgh.

DOLPHINS PLAYERS POTENTIALLY RETURNING

While the Steelers play the Bills Sunday, they aren’t the final AFC East opponent on their schedule. They still have to play the Miami Dolphins in Week 15. The Dolphins have had a tough season, but they’ve won their last two games. They’re 4-7, and now they could be getting reinforcements.

Around the NFL on Twitter shared that tight end Darren Waller and offensive tackle Austin Jackson could return for the Dolphins this week. Perhaps that will give them some momentum. That could make them a tougher for the Steelers to deal with when that game comes around.
