The Tennessee Titans were already thin and in the midst of making changes at the cornerback position.

For Sunday’s game with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Titans will be reshuffling yet again on the edges of their secondary.

Earlier this week, the Titans waived Samuel Womack, who made his first start in Sunday’s loss to Seattle. He got the nod over Jalyn Armour-Davis, but the results apparently were not satisfactory, as he was cut on Wednesday in favor of former first-round pick Kaiir Elam, who had been released three days prior by the Dallas Cowboys.

To compound matters at cornerback, Armour-Davis, who has had his own struggles at times since being elevated to being a starter, went down with an Achilles injury and will be out at least this Sunday.

That leaves the Titans with no sure options to start opposite Darrell Baker. Rookie Marcus Harris has taken over as the nickelback since Roger McCreary was traded. And with the Titans having already traded away Jarvis Brownlee and lost L’Jarius Sneed to a quad injury for the second straight year, the pickings are a bit slim.

The primary options would appear to be between Elam, who probably knows very little about the defensive system with only three days on the roster or Micah Robinson, who was plucked off the Green Bay Packers practice squad a month ago. Robinson was a seventh-round pick of the Packers this year, and has been mostly on special teams since joining the Titans roster.

Besides Armour-Davis, the Titans listed safety Kendell Brooks (concussion), defensive tackle Shy Tuttle (concussion) and center Lloyd Cushenberry (foot) as out. Corey Levis will start at center in place of Cushenberry. Brooks plays mostly on special teams and Tuttle is a rotational piece on the defensive line.

Elsewhere, the Titans listed four players as questionable for Sunday’s game with the Jaguars. Safety Xavier Woods (hamstring), receiver Elic Ayomanor (hamstring), tackle Dan Moore (knee) and tight end Chig Okonkwo (foot) as questionable.
