Purdy, 4-1 against the Cardinals in his career, is under contract with the 49ers through 2030.

The Arizona Cardinals will have to face quarterback Brock Purdy for several more seasons in the NFC West. The San Francisco 49ers and their starting quarterback agreed to a five-year contract extension worth $265 million, keeping him under contract through the 2030 season.

The $53 million per-year average is the seventh-highest in the league. Purdy gets $181 million in total guarantees, including $165.95 million in the first three years.

Purdy was Mr. Irrelevant in the 2022 NFL draft, the final player selected, and has had a fantastic first three seasons. Twice he led the 49ers to the NFC Championship Game. He is 23-13 as a starter in the regular season. He has thrown 64 touchdown passes to 27 interceptions in three seasons.

Against the Cardinals, he is 4-1 with nine touchdown passes and two interceptions in five starts and has also rushed for a touchdown.

The 49ers will now have the challenge of maintaining talent around Purdy while he is paid among the top quarterbacks in the game.

The Cardinals face the 49ers on the road in Week 3 and at home in Week 11 this coming season.
