Macdonald said, “DeMarcus Lawrence’s forced fumble is probably my new favorite play of all time. It’s just an incredible, incredible play. I just saw this blur coming down and just violently attack the ball. It’s been such of a point of emphasis and to see him do that was really great.”
He added, “Unbelievable. Just plays like a blur of a human. It’s on the other side of the field, and then you’re like holy crap he’s going to make the play. Then you see him coming down with the right hand and it’s like, okay. Hopefully recovered the ball. It was awesome.”
The 12-year vet serves as an example for younger players of what it means to play “Seahawks football.”
“I feel like he’s the epitome of what we want to be,” linebacker Drake Thomas, who had 0.5 sack, five tackles and two quarterback hits, said. “He’s a dog. Whatever he does, he goes all out, 100 percent. He’s selfless. He wants to win, and he’s a tough, physical football player and he brings out the life on the field.”
Safety Coby Bryant said, “Besides him being an old guy, he’s been a vet and someone that’s been making plays each and every week consistently and being a leader as well too.”
